As a tribute to my lifelong love of Wagner's Der Ring des Nibelungen and the glorious Norse Mythology it retells, this painting is the first in a series devoted to the story of Brunnhilde, Wotan's beloved daughter.  Sincerest thanks to Melanie L, who posed for this and some upcoming images.
